In my documentary work, I’m looking for the intimate and dramatic. Change-making stories that explore complex humanistic themes through rich character driven journeys.
Often working as both director and DP, I favor a vérité style that puts participants at ease and allows for the capture of honest and truly cinematic moments.
Working as a producer, I also collaborate with other directors. With contacts and experience in local and International co-productions, I help raise finance and bring your stories to life (and have them reach theatrical, broadcast and online audiences).
An advocate for ‘slow filmmaking’, I believe that stories worth telling are worth taking the time to tell right. This sustainable approach to an often cutthroat industry with high burnout rates results in greater stories, more authentic connections and better access, more cinematic moments, and happier cast, crew and clients.
I’m committed to a creative practice that puts people (both on and behind the camera) before profit, and advocate for diversity and inclusion across the industry.
